Lectures

The lectures will be held in room 207 of the McClelland building, on the UA campus. Here are directions.

Evening working sessions

There will be evening working sessions at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. The working sessions will provide students with an opportunity to discuss their projects with the speakers, as well as a chance for everyone to get more details or clarifications from the speakers. Active participation is strongly encouraged. The evening working sessions will take place in Salons B and C at the Sheraton Four Points. (Though the sessions begin at 7:30 pm, the room is reserved from 6:00 pm if you wish to get an early start.)

Evening of Arrival

There will be an informal gathering in Salons B and C of the Sheraton Four Points on Friday, March 13 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

Registration

Registration for the conference will take place at the informal gathering in Salons B and C at the hotel on Friday evening 6:00 to 10:00 pm and again on campus from 8:00 to 9:00 am Saturday morning in the area outside of McLelland 207. You can get expense reimbursement forms and pay the registration and banquet fees at these times.

Coffee

Coffee and pastries will be available 30 minutes before the lectures start each morning. Coffee and snacks will be available during the breaks.

Banquet

The conference banquet will be on Wednesday, March 18 in the Canyon Room room of the Marriott University Park, 880 E. 2nd St. (not at the Sheraton). The gathering begins at 6:00-6:15 (there will be a cash bar) with dinner served at 6:30 pm. The cost is $15 for students thanks to a generous subsidy from the Department of Mathematics, and $40 for other participants; signup for the banquet took place in advance of the workshop. A map showing the Marriott is here (at the bottom of the page).

Free Afternoon

The afternoon of Monday, March 16 is free time. An excursion to Sabino Canyon is planned. Details about the excursion will be available in the registration packet.
