The lectures will be held in the Berger Auditorium (Room 207) of the McClelland building, on the UA campus. Here are directions.
The conference hotel is the DoubleTree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park. Breakfast and Wi-Fi access are included with your room at the DoubleTree (if your room was booked by the SWC). The hotel is not within reasonable walking distance of campus, but a shuttle service will be available to go between the hotel and the lectures. Please see the directions page for details.
There will be evening working sessions at 7:15 PM on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings. The working sessions will provide students with an opportunity to discuss their projects with the speakers, as well as a chance for everyone to get more details or clarifications from the speakers. Active participation by all participants is strongly encouraged. The evening working sessions will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in the Grand Ballroom. (Though the sessions begin at 7:15, the rooms are reserved from 6 PM if you wish to get an early start.)
There will be an informal gathering in the Grand Ballroom of the DoubleTree Hotel on Friday, March 14 from 6 PM to 10 PM.
Local registration for the conference will take place in the Grand Ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel on Friday evening to 5 PM to 8 PM, and again on campus from 8 AM to 10 AM Saturday morning in the area outside of McClelland 207. You can get expense reimbursement forms and pay the registration and banquet fees at these times.
Coffee will be available 30 minutes before the lectures start each morning. Coffee and snacks will be available during the between-lecture breaks.
The conference banquet will be on Wednesday, March 19 in the Grand Ballroom at the DoubleTree. The gathering begins at 6:00 with a cash bar in the foyer. The cost is $20 for participants, thanks to a subsidy from the Department of Mathematics, and $40 for guests. Payment will be taken at registration. f you would like to attend, please sign up no later than Friday, March 14. More details can be found on the signup page.
The afternoon of Monday, March 17 is a free afternoon. An excursion to Sabino Canyon is planned. If you would like to participate, please sign up no later than Friday, March 14.
